Real body parts?

My information on this film is limited but the director admitted using real body parts (although the cat was unharmed in the controversial rat scene) and footage of an actual autopsy in the first Men behind the sun, so it seems likely he used the same approach here, although I can't confirm it. The effects looked a bit more like effects in some parts so I can't tell. I need to dig out the interview about his filmography and inspiration that I've read a while ago.
