Notice how Ashley Judd can barely keep a straight face in her scene with De Niro--the difference between someone whose mom got her a career and someone who worked for his career.

Ashley was never anything more than a pretty face,and she doesn't even have that anymore.

Her face held up better than Jeremy Piven's face did while in DeNiro's presence

I wasn't impressed with Ashley in this or any of her films. I don't know how much influence her mom had but I gotta admit Ashley looked quite beautiful during this period.

She did look good. That certainly helped her situation.

I dont know , DeNiros face is pretty funny most of the time .
He has his jaw frozen in some kind of rictus grimace,

Hence he's a popular target for impressionists

Pacino does something similar when hes "acting the hell out of it"
