So they're a tight and focussed crew... always working together...

Why did they need an extra guy for that particular first job? -A smooth talking trigger happy recruit whom they've not even met let alone worked with?

Ok so I know without him all wuda been fine and dandy - besides this!

Almost every professional crew in a heist film needs that one useless guy. Even in a Mann film.
