I recently puchased this dvd, I thought the overall movie was presented verry well, and that it was one of the best ive seen in a while. Im a huge kate beckinsale fan, and own several of her movies. In my opinion she is one of the most beautiful and charming women of our time. If you havent seen the movie, its definately worth checking out, however the whole incest thing i could have done without.

Does anyone have any recomandations for any other kate films that arnt as popular that are woth checking out? If so id appreciate it, thanks.

I think the incest thing was uncalled for too ,but it was the whole base of the film really,as it was the reason that they were burnt to death by their disgusted nanny when she found them at it.

I agree, I never said it wasnt an important part, or that it didnt tie into the film, i just mentioned that it was creepy. But as i said overall i enjoyed the film.

I havent seen te movie but I have just recently red the book, and there was no incest in it. so I think I'll pass te movie and just keep the book in my head.

I always prefer the book versions.What was the reason the nanny burned the house down in the book?Thanks.

she thinks the kids/ghost have gone to far, people got killed so she burns the hous down. in the book nanny didnt kill the mariels, Christina did in the book she has a split personality and she get all psycho so they used to put her in the cellar for her and their protection, one day she got some matches and lit the cellar on fire. Robert and Christina die and 2 weeks after Simon hangs hem self.

that would have made for a verry interesting plot, but as i had said earlier i think this movie was done well, and i guess ill have to read the book now to appreciate it even more.
