She's clearly stated to be 7 in the 4th movie, which takes place on Halloween 1988. Then she's 9 in the 5th movie, which takes place exactly a year later. Now fast forward six years and she's suddenly in her late teens. What happened here? Does she age twice as fast as everyone else?
shareDepends on which movie you go by. I personally go by for with the thought that 5 was intended to be released in 1990 but they decided to push it up a year and changed a title card. Even Loomis speaks of 12 years ago, which would mean 1978 +12 = 1990.
So 7 in 1988 means 14 in 1995, which is pretty young to be having a kid. Even if you went by 9 in 1989, she'd still only be 16. JC Brandy looked older than that. I don't think they were counting age at that point, just look old enough to not be too creepy and kill her and move on. At least that's what I hope. It was a poor idea to begin with all the way around.
