I couldn’t follow the plot very well

I know most people will just say I’m stupid but I honestly didn’t really know what was going on. I mean I have a basic idea. These hackers are having fun and this plague guy wants to pin some boat disaster on them. But the film doesn’t really establish anything substantial.
