Hackers Novelization available in PDF here

Hi guys

I managed to find my old copy of the Hackers novelization from back when the movie first came out. So I decided to scan it and convert it into a PDF file and put it on MegaUpload to share, as I know its fairly rare to get hold of a copy and a lot of people haven't ever been able to read it.

So without further ado, here's the link for anyone interested:

Hope you enjoy :)

All the best.

You should let us know if there's any differences between it and the movie or if there's just any reason in general to read it.

I've read the book. It was in the local library back when there wasn't much of a choice of what to read and I was interested in computers back then. This was way back before I saw the movie. The only real difference I can remember between the book and the movie is that for some strange reason The Plague gets away at the end, or at least, you never hear of him being arrested. I always found this kind of dumb, like were they planning on keeping this guy around for a sequel? He was lame enough for just one book. Was nice to see him actually get arrested in the movie.

And no, the book is not worth reading.

Thanks for putting this up! I have this novel, and I've always had a soft spot for it. You can usually get it for a few dollars on the standard websites and I highly recommend it for fans of this film.

I posted here a while back about some interesting differences between the novel and the film, but I guess it scrolled out. So it goes. But there is stuff worth catching if you're into it.

Man I wish I'd known the novelization was worth a few bucks before I pitched mine back around 2000 lol!

That was awesome of you to put it up. I haven't read it since it came out. I remember it being okay, but it seemed like the author was trying a bit too hard to be cool and edgy. Like a Dad trying to relate to his kids.

I might give it a read for nostalgia's sake .

Did you include the code so that it can turn my Kindle or iPad into a Gibson Supercomputer? One that CAN'T be hacked? I sure hope so. Even if you didn't, this is still THE killer app for tablet computers and ereaders.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hackers release, I've reuploaded the novelisation for anyone interested.
