In 1976, Piper Laurie played the mother to Sissy Spacek's (teen-age) Carrie. In 1996, they played sisters, and with make-up, Sissy Spacek looks older then Piper Laurie.

Remember Sissy Spacek was much older than the character she played in Carrie, too.

She also was Jack Lemmon's daughter-in-law in Missing and here she was his girlfriend.
