Twenty years ago this day, after a delay, A GOOFY MOVIE finally premiered in theaters.
Personally, I never saw the film in its original release. I saw the trailer, read the reviews (Mike Clark of USA Today was freaked out by the idea that Goofy had sex. So he never saw the George Geef shorts in the 1950s?), watched the documentary MAKING OF A GOOFY MOVIE hosted by Jenna Van Oyl. But once the film came to video in September 1995, I became a fan.

Hard to believe I was nine years old at the time when this flick first came out. I saw it in the theater during its initial 1995 release. My mother's boyfriend at the time took me to see it.

When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness.
