One of Trav's best.

I've read many times that Travolta didn't want to do this movie. It was Tarantino, being an Elmore Leonard fan, that told him he shouldn't pass. I've always felt Pulp Fiction and Get Shorty were a great one two. Aside from maybe Face/Off, I don't think Travolta was ever this good again.

Yeah, it would have been great to see more Chili Palmer. I remember there was a sequel, but it flopped. I don't remember much abiut it other than thinking the Rock was funny.

Be Cool. Pretty good film for a sequel. Cedric the Entertainer, Andre Benjamin, and Vince Vaughn were all terrific in this along with The Rock (who was hysterical BTW). Def worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Lol loved The Rock's "monologue" from Bring It On.

He was great/iconic in Pulp Fiction, but I prefer his work here. Unequivocally, Chili Palmer is one of his best characters (and performances).

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

I always thought Travolta was awesome in Broken Arrow... Definitely one of my favorite performances of his.

He's good in Swordfish as well.

I liked Michael, where he was an angel.
Good for the whole family.

I forgot he was even in Face/Off; all I remember is how much I disliked Cage.
General's Daughter was good.

I prefer the toad less raveled

Travolta was fantastic in Primary Colors!

It be great if he didn't smoke in movies because he can't fake it, and he doesn't look like a smoker, he sucks!!!!..HE COMES OFF AS A PHONEY PHONEY PHONEY!!!

reply

The result is it takes me out of the movie!!! And I hate that

reply

It was definitely a perfect role for him and he nailed it. The sequel "Be Cool" was great too.

reply

Loved this movie as well as Be Cool, and the Bill Clinton parody in Primary Colors, a must see.

reply

I missed that one. Will definitely check it out.
