Anyone know who the 'Tin Box' Dancer is?

It's been driving me mad - this guy has been around on UK TV for donkey's years. He may have been attached to a particular dance troupe I think, as he often appeared in variety shows as one of the dancers.
He also appeared in a "Cannon & Ball" show as one of a group of very old men who suddenly became very agile & did a sort of Kung Fu dance thing on some young toughs who were threatening someone in a playground.
I'd be very grateful if anyone can provide info on him. As far as I can see he isn't on the cast list in IMDB at all - I've even checked on the actual film credits on Video & can't find him.
