Has it ever been solved who the guy was that was laying in the bed while Craig's girlfriend was yelling at him on the phone? Lol she is sitting in the bed and next to her is some dude sleep/chillin.
shareIn hindsight, I think that sequence was to show how hypocritical Joy was. First off, she called Craig to grill him about going to the movie theater the night before. She also complained about Debbie and Felicia. However, I don't think she is above is sleeping with other men.

shareIt doesn't even matter, that's the humor in the scene... Matter of fact, the entire film. When I talk to people, it's crazy how much they missed. It's all about the Staging of each scene. Craigs mom using the last of the sugar, that dude in bed, the 40oz Bottle standing straight up during a "Slip and Fall", Craigs barrels constantly being knocked over... IMO, that's what separates this from the sequels. The scene with Mr. Johnson, the Phone Ringing, Smoke and Deebo breaking in the house... Seems simple enough but it's not. F. Gary Gray and DJ Pooh are mostly to thank for that.

shareMan I've missed a lot of that stuff. I have noticed the dude sleepin on the bed, but not that other stuff. It's a well-written movie.
shareAlso, at the beginning of the movie there are pictures of a boxer along with other family photos. This hints at the fact that Craig's dad was a boxer, which is alluded to in his "You live to fight another day" monologue.
