I actually liked this one better than the original. It was waaaaay better than the 3rd one for sure. I would agree the 3rd one was bad. But nothing really was bad about this one. I actually enjoyed it. The rating just shocked me. Why a 4.9? I think a 4.9 is way too low. I could understand a 6, which is about what I would give it.
shareI'm not too sure either. I remember liking this one and watching this one more than the first one growing up. I related to it more because, living in Seattle, I went whale watching a lot. I never stepped foot into an aquarium or sea park until my late teens. One major problem I see is that Keiko wasn't used like in the first film. It was a mechanical whale I believe. Another problem is that it doesn't have "icon" scenes like the first or a strong moral message like th first. I personally still like it as it is though.
