Agonizing 30 minutes

Well, i actually couldn't (i really COULD NOT) watch this movie more than half an hour, which is a pity, once i really like the directors..
But Ted the Bellhop and his mannerisms, his nervosism, his walk, always trembling like a drug addicted, it really made me anxious and nervous !, his performance was just painfull to watch !

Quite a few people have shunned Tarantino's segment because of its intended use of pretentious/vulgar dialogue. But what amazes me, is the fact that no one has acknowledge the extended "Cristal" champagne metaphor. With that said, let me disect this brilliant use of wordplay.

The bottle of champagne may seem randomly placed, but it's actually a symbol of Tarantino's style of film. No one was interested in the quirky, random and unpredictable films until they got a taste of Tarantino (Cristal). As a matter of fact, his work was so unrecognized that he began to lose his bounce. It's not his fault the, it is implicated that the high expectations of his fans caused this lost in spark. They always criticize his works saying things like, "He's overrated" or "he could of done better", that they fail to realize it isn't that easy to make a satisfying film. We just get everything free so we don't see the value of the film, we just expect the best. Point is, sometimes the champagne will be flat. Regardless, it is still "Cristal".

I was a little lazy on the analysis (mostly because it's almost 1 am and I'm *beep* tired, so I hope someone with better analyzing skills will see my post and continue elaborating my point.

That's totally fine, I'm not even judging or analysing the first 30 minutes. I'm only sharing something that i really value: how does anything make people FEEL. Cause after all, if a masterpiece doesn't move me in any interesting way, i won't enjoy it.. and what moves me probably isn't the same that moves you. Anyone is "brilliant", all movies are a masterpiece. So... this movie made me anxious as hell on the first 30 minutes, neverthless, i'll give it a try this time!

Like most people who didn't like this brilliant movie, you gave up on it way too soon. The 2nd half of the movie consists of the parts that were directed by Rodriguez and Tarantino, the first two boring segments were done by a couple of nobodies. Do yourself a favor and watch the entire movie before passing judgment.
