At the restarant before Micky? All through the movie it is showen that they are on the same offical crew so Jack should have been at the game and seen the reunion.

NBA referees don't work in crews like football and baseball. Although given the number of games per season and the number of referees, you'll work with the same people 7 or 8 times every season, so you get to know them well. Jack wasn't working that game.
