Fire the 'military consultant'

Hard to believe they actually hired anyone to advise them on military matters -- which is the core environment of the entire film.

The stupid mistakes no infantryman could possibly make are simply uncountable, even considering that part of this group is mentioned as not being as fully trained as one would like.

I howled every time they showed some silly chick jumping into combat with her two-foot-long hair flying in the breeze, while firing automatic weapons. That's going to be a real problem when one of those rapidly rotating & sliding bolts grabs a hank of hair, scalps the wench, and jams the hell out of her weapon. There is an actual reason for soldiers having short hair, kiddies. I can overlook the oh-so-perfect makeup an hair .... after all, the only thing going for most of these "actresses" is their looks ... but the long hair is just silly.

Also .... is it just me, or did some of those dress uniforms come directly from WW2-era Nazi uniforms & insignia? Might at least have changed the insignis to be not so recognizable.

I liked the backdrops of plastic trash bags, and the nifty communication devices - pressing your finger against your ear! And how the witch who's shot several times and "couldn't be helped" suddenly stands up and is fine! And a hundred-year war ending when a soldier says "Peace is all that's left to fight for!" Yay!!

WTF did I just watch??
