Disappointed in this movie :(

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!

I loved the book Follow the River. The movie didn't show how much the two women suffered and starved! They were starving to death. They went weeks with nothing but water. Both of them were eating tree bark, and once they ate a stinking rotten animal that had been laying dead for no telling how long. Their clothes were torn all the way off from the briars and they had no shoes and their feet were like hamburger meat. Their skin was torn all up, and Mary didn't have hardly any teeth left due to malnutrition. When they made it home, Will was glad to see her, but on the other hand he was sickened by her. Also they left out the best part. Near the end of the book, Mary happened upon Gretel and saw her laying "dead" on the other side of the river. There were buzzards circling her. Mary began to grieve for the "loss" of Gretel and about that time the buzzard dipped down and Gretel jumped up and tried to grab the buzzard! She was playing POSSUM and was gonna try to catch that buzzard and eat it! The best part of the book.
