Caan you NOT cry??

Has anyone out there ever been able to get through this movie without crying? I can't!!

reply

That...would be tough. I've probably always gotten at least very misty and emotional over it, and I've seen it about a thousand times, lol. It's just one of those movies that'll get you every single time. Like Steel Magnolias or Beaches or any sad animal movie. Can't get through any of those sob-free...

Yeah. Don't remember being moved by this movie at all as a little kid. Just caught the second half of it today and still was kinda bored. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

I will say though that the musical score is really awesome and emotive. Just listening to it might make me misty eyed, without the movie attached :P

Well, I agree about the soundtrack!! In my opinion it's one of the most excellent film scores ever composed, bar none.

reply

Nope. I've seen this movie several times, since '95 when I was 12...haven't been able to watch it without crying once.

Don't feel badly; I couldn't even guess how many times I've watched this movie, and yeah, it seems pretty well impossible to get through it without at LEAST tearing up--even if you're not generally "sappy." It's just that genuinely beautiful, emotional, and sad.

I like you, Um. I like largeness...

The emotions make you feel alive. Would rather watch this kind of movie than a movie that brings out no emotions
