He's not Asian. It's based on a Japanese anime yet the lead hero is not Asian. Were they too mortified at the idea of someone as awesome as Donnie Yen playing the lead role since he's Chinese and not Japanese? I guess they thought a non-Asian would be better than a Chinese guy. =/
shareDonnie Yen wouldn't really fit the role. Conan Lee, on the other hand, woulda been perfect to play Kenshiro. He even has the hair for it.

LMAO I am a huge Gary Daniels fan but that is what killed the movie for. Hopefully if a proper movie is made Asian actors will be cast

I see what you mean, but I also like that it is mixed up like this. It's a post-apocalyptic future scenario, so that can be justified. Everything is mixed up.
