Nope. FOTNS at least tried to recapture a part of the original atmosphere of the manga/anime, although it mostly failed. DB Evo.. well, it's just a giant piece of crap.

shareWatching it right now after many years (playing the Fist of the north star Kens Rage 2 game) and evo is nowhere near this movie.. this tried to keep the spirit from the anime. Evo didnt
shareDBE took everything about the original story and raped it in the most humiliating way then conned some actors into being in it without realizing they would never be in a decent film again after. (some excluded from this rule) DBE was a horrible affair with Cinema.
FOTNS (BTW THOSE GAMES ROCK) film at least tried with what they had to make a movie based off of a ridiculously over the top anime (that I love) and I can respect the crap out of that. Granted it's stil not the best movie out there but I believe they did a good job with it to an extent. Lord Shin was dead on.
