Lancelot, know when you're friendzoned

If Lancelot was going for the poetic, heroic type he failed. He was a creep, a needy creep who should of took no for an answer.

Hahaha, well said. If you try any of that crap on girls these days, you will get friendzoned quicker than the blink of an eye.

You're right. This is true for a lot of films actually. It gives one the impression that if you keep being persistent, eventually the girl will give in. In my younger days I actually thought this kind of stuff worked. But then I found out Sean's stuff in his younger days works better: don't be over-sentimental and show a willingness to walk away.

He wasn't friendzoned
the definition of friend zoned is when

a man or women likes another person. the person they like knows they like them and uses those feelings to get things from him/her

Gwenevere knew he liked her but wasn't using him

Yea, I agree with action. He wasn't exactly friendzoned. There was obviously chemistry and attraction on both sides here. It wasn't some one-sided fantasy relationship that had zero chance of happening. It was only circumstance, not attraction, preventing it.

Lancelot was incredibly charming, confident and persistent, true enough, but there are lots of women who really enjoy being pursued and feeling wanted. She was obviously initially attracted to Lancelot; he even told her he knew this, which is pretty pimp, I must admit. It's not like she was married at the time either. Plus, he didn't exactly "force" himself on her aside from the kiss. Lancelot probably thought she was some stereotypical "proper Lady" of the time and was trying to show her it was okay to be attracted to him as well. You can tell he was visibly shaken and DID take no for an answer after the second "kiss" where she forcefully rejected him. It was only through chance that he ended up getting the opportunity to develop their relationship further (the wild horse, her kidnapping, etc).
