Steve Martin's complete lack of range

Remember when George Banks takes those sleeping pills and then falls asleep with his face pressed against the window. It's the same goddamn face he made in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels while playing Ruprict (when he pisses himself) and it's the same goddamn face he makes when he's playing a thug in Bringing Down the House. He's made similar faces in almost all of his movies (e.g. The Jerk, Three Amigos, etc.) Steve Martin has three faces he makes in nearly every movie: the smug face I just mentioned, his shocked face where his eyes are wide open and his mouth is closed, and his uncomfortable face. The older he gets, the less range he has. It's really embarrassing just watching him.

Oh this is a very silly complaint! It's his trademark. He makes those faces. He's a comic actor, not Olivier.
