The Books

I really love this movie and have heard that it's based on the first two novels of four by Caroline B. Cooney. So my question is: What is the titles of these books? I think I've found three of them ...

The Face on the Milk Carton
What Janie Found
Whatever Happened to Janie?

I would very much like to know if this is correct and if you can give me the title of the last book.

reply

That's the first 2 ("The Face on the Milk Carton" and "Whatever Happened to Janie") and the last one ("What Janie Found"). I belive the 3rd book is "The Voice on the Radio" but don't quote me on that, It's late. ;)

The author is Caroline B. Cooney, and you can find the books in the teen/young adult section at most major bookstores - Borders, Barnes & Noble, etc. You can also order them online from amazon.com or half.com, but most bookstores still stock them.

sorry it took me so long to reply but thanks so much for telling me that and i hope to start reading the series!

Also available on Alibris.com. (hard to find and used book site).
You'll have to look them up by individual title. When I just tried by author the site didn't list them at all.
If you don't want to buy them just yet, try your local library.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even though Carloine B. Cooney said in an interveiw a few years ago that she hoped the books would put things into perspective for some people, it made me feel incomplete, even though I hardly ever feel that way aftyer reading a book. A few of her other books have made me feel that way too, like The Terrorist, and Wanted.

I'm sure someone mentioned The Voice on The Radio...

but as of last year, there was a fifth book.
it's really good!
