"Do you know what it's like to have your mother wallk you to school....

.... EVERY DAY?"

Jeez, you got a tough life, huh? Nah, I've just been kidnapped and my whole identity is broken, but wow your mom walked you to school every day? Tough life man, tough life. 

Ugh wasn't Stephen annoying? Yeah we get it brother you had it tough with a mom that everyone thinks is crazy for believing that her missing daughter is still alive.

I think that it was Stephen's reasoning that it was easier to blame Janie/Jenny than to accept the fact that he felt guilty for letting go of his little sister's hand and thinks its his fault that she was kidnapped.

He never thought that not only was it hard on his mother or their family that it was just as hard for Janie and the Jessmon's.

When I watched this movie I was shocked that the brother was still blaming himself. The Mom was such an idiot. How does any mother allow her child to continue to believe that he was responsible. The Mom allowed the kidnapping to infect all her children.

That whole family needed counseling. Especially after Janie moved back in.

The scene that annoyed me was they bought Janie a new hairbrush as a gift and had "Jennifer" embossed on it. Really, they couldn't just use a "J"? They just had to make a point with a lousy hairbrush?
