I am in deffinatley for them putting it out on DVD because it is one of my favorite movies of all time i used to watch it when i was like 5 and since they never play it anymore they should put it n DVD!!!!!! any way i also promised my spanish teach er i would find it for her cause she wants her kids to watch it cause we talked about it in el espaniol today so as i was saying disney either has to play it so i can tape it or they have to put it out on dvd because the other version that they made is not as goo as the newer one in 1995 with Erik VonDetten who is by the by extremely hott!!!!!!!!
well nothing elso to say cause ummm yeah ok well put it out on DVD!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put this movie on DVD or VHS or something, it took me years to figure out what this movie was called b/c i couldnt remember since they played it on disney so long ago and never played it again! If any one knows how to get this movie on video or DVD please tell me b/c i have always loved this movie and i would do anything to see it again!.

I remember seeing this movie on Disney Channel. I remember I cracked up when the little girl was separated from her brother and she was crying. I was a sick little kid! That's basically the reason I want it on DVD, so I can relive the old times. :)

Exactly.....It took me years to reailze this was a TV movie!!! For years people told me it didn't even exist...I will buy any version that can be found!!! I don't care if it is a VHS tapped from TV!!!

those are all links to the 1975 movie!!! I have been dieing for the 1995 version! I really want to get it for my friend's birthday that is coming up! we use to always watch it together. how come its not out on VHS or DVD anywhere???
if any one finds it.....post where you found it!! PLEASE!!!!!

I doubt that there will be an offical release of this anytime soon. I remember watching this show when I was younger and absolutely loving it! I used to watch it all the time on Disney Channel and I even bought a duck call..lol those of you who have seen the movie know what I am talking about. I am really interested in seeing this again and seeing if my opinion on this film has changed at all. A suggestion for finding a DVD is to maybe check Ebay for a copy some guy could've made with his old VHS copy.

I have wanted this on dvd or vhs soooooooooooooooooooo bad i almost cried when i actually finally found something on the remake and not the older one! PLEASE SOMEONE FIND THE RELEASE

i agree, i have been searching for this every since they stopped airing it on disney. this is one of my favorite movies and no one else i know has ever seen it. i have mailed disney and everything.

I wish they would release this on dvd because I am a huge fan of Sam Horrigan and I never saw this film even though he was only a kid then.

Hello, I am the webmaster of, to the best of my knowledge, the only entirely "Escape To Witch Mountain" website (http://www.deadendinternet.com/witchmountain) in the world.

I know pretty much everything there is to know about the entire "Witch Mountain" series, and I can tell you straight up that this film has no chance of ever being released. I would be surprised if Disney Channel still even had the tape in its vault. Disney Channel, I'm sure, converted all of its videos to DVDs quite a while back, and I highly doubt they wasted the time converting the 1995 film.

The film has NEVER been released on video or DVD and it never will be. As much as I hate to say it, it's true. Most of the people interested are in their teens, which is Disney's most limited fanbase. If the movie had any chance of release, which it probably doesn't, it will be many years down the road when all the teenagers who liked the film as a child will be money-spending adults.

Another thing you need to realize is that this film was made for very young children. Out of the few people who remember this movie, most of them have lost interest.

Thanks for the info. I am not really into seeing the movie because it is for kids, I just wanted to see it because of Sam Horrigan as I adore him, but if any thing changes can you post it? thanks. Sam has just completed two movies so I have that to look forward to seeing and it's current. I also have Brink on vhs, The Little Giants on dvd.

this wasmy FAVORITE movie as a kid, i loved that duck call thingy part (-:. i would watch it every time it aired, i never wanted to miss it. ive been searching for the 1995 version for the past hour and a half. i loved this movie and wish i could see it again, it would bring back so many memories. plus, eric vondetton was hott, lol. i miss escape to witch mountain!!!!! please put it on dvd or at least play it 1 more time so i can record it.

I know what you mean. I saw that movie when I was younger and loved it. I used to watch the Disney Channel a lot and never saw that movie played again. What's the matter with it? I think it's an awesome movie...especially saying that they think everyone has a twin. That's sweet.
