I felt this film was very entertaining, however, I was was a bit annoyed
by the actress who played Betty.

The only thing I disliked about this movie was Hugh Grant. I can't stand him. The fact that I liked this film even with him in it shows what a good film it actually is.

...Tara Fitzgerald. Her accent was very odd and didn't sound Welsh at all.

I couldn't take my eyes off her, and in Brassed off, her next movie, oh my!

I'm inclined to agree with you... She's the best thing about the film, for sheer eye-candy, alone!

i was a bit puzzled by her character, couldn't really work out who or what she was. and frankly she's a very unlikely love interest for a cultured man like Hugh grant's character seems to be. she is the weak link in the film.
