Who were the 'major characters' removed in post-production?

And why couldn't they have removed Mark? Jeez, he was annoying.

Also, Wikipedia (which provided the "major characters removed" info, also says the film originally spanned two days instead of one. What happened on the other day?

There are a lot of different script drafts floating around out there. The draft I've read is a lot more detailed than what the movie ended up being. The other day was the night before and focused mainly on different characters hanging out. It has a different tone to what the finished film did, it was more adult orientated in its content. Another draft had a character called Lilly who was cut.

You can still see Lilly in the background of a few scenes. For instance, a scene outside has a girl in the background rollerblading. That is Lilly.

also when Joe drags Lucas in back to beat the crap out of him you can see her on the left of the screen beside the door.
