Ebbie = Christmas Tradition

I really love Ebbie. First off, this is not a movie for "A Christmas Carol" traditionalists - and it's a bit campy. Other than that - it's GREAT!

My favorite line from Ebbie: I sell Christmas, I don't buy it.
Worst part of the movie: Dubbed Asian store clerk (why on earth would they dub him?)

I really like Ebbie's assistant - great performance, though I think Tiny Tim was kind of over the top.

Anyone else - is this a tradition to watch this???

It's definitely a tradition for me... I've loved this movie since it first came out... I wish it was out on DVD, because eventually the VHS tape I recorded it on 8 or so years ago is going to wear out... it hardly gets shown anymore, and in fact I don't know if it was on TV this year at all.

... the hardest thing in this world is to live in it...

Oh yeah, I have "Ebbie" saved to my DVR and watch it every year!
Actually, in a modern sense, this version is very true to the Dickens novel.
I agree, Tiny Tim is a bit over the top but still very like-able and the hairspray girls were quite campy, but also like-able. My favorite character is the Ghost Of Christmas Present, she was right on the mark.
Honestly, I find it impossible to not to get teary-eyed when I watch it, very moving.

So glad to see others love this movie as much as me and my family do!

Ghost of Xmas Present "Yeah boss" =)

Everything was too campy and over the top, not just Tiny Tim. Ebbie's assistant was the only restrained performance, but I wouldn't call that great either.

I love this movie, too. I usually don't like classics re-told in modern era, but this one works. And I SO relate to her (well, not the awful humbug part).
