Soundtrack from this film?

Anybody know who did the soundtrack for this film?

It's been years since I saw this film, but I remember the music at the start being really good.

Cheers.

The band that performed the title song (El dia de la bestia) with the hiphop/rock sound is Def Con Dos. Been ages since I saw this film so I can't remember if this song is played during opening credits or just end credits. They also performed the title song for Accion Mutante during the start credits. The score was by Italian composer Battista Lena.

When the priest goes into the heavy metal shop at the begining who is the band that the priest requests to hear, it says live death on the album sleave but im not to sure

reply

I have the Live Death cd. It's a compilation with a few death metal bands on it such as Cancer, Malevolent Creation and Suffocation.
The song that gets played in the shop is Apocalypsis 25D by Ktulu.
And then the song El Dia De La Bestia by Def Con Dos comes on next.

I really want that CD!

Extermoduro´s El dia de la bestia is a hell of a song, if you want to find the album try looking it up as "BSO el dia de la bestia" (BSO = Banda Sonora Original, OST in spanish)
it´s kinda hard to get hold of it, even here in argentina where Alex de la Iglesia is well known... that album should be 6-10 Euros in Spain though, so it´s not that much if you want to order it overseas.
Also if you liked this soundtrack you should listen to the one from "Historias del Kronen" another spanish movie.

I'm looking for the jazz piece played at the very end of the movie (ending credits). I can't find it in the soundtrack. Any clue?

reply

The jazz song you mention is "Midnight in Moscow" by Kenny Ball.
