Why is there an alternative, shorter version for the USA?

why?

You could ask that for a ton of other movies like Brazil, Once upon a Time in a America, Blade Runner, The Professional, Metropolis for examples (and the subsequent questions by americans why most of those movies are considered classics or them saying that they don't get it at all, the brazil forum shows that all cliche's are true) .
Americans are Americans: Underducated retards with the attention span of an ant, too dumb to understand that goes beyond "we're numba 1, we nuke country, use the guns!"
(and americans proved they're *beep* retards by voting Bush twice and Obama twice)

What an ignorant, close-minded thing to say about Americans----we aren't all the damn same, don't think the exact same, and don't like all the same exact things simply because we're Americans. You're the one coming off all high, mighty, and a real know-it-all ignorant fool. And voting for Obama twice was a better decision than voting for Bush. And at least four of the films you mentioned are considered classic films now, except for The Professional. We aren't all gun crazy nuts, by the way, though I can see how you would think that by watching American films. A bunch of idiots voted for the stupid orange-faced dude, but people came to their senses, and voted his sorry ass the hell out, by the way. Now voting him in was a true bad decision, plain and simple.
