I liked almost every character that is in the movie, except Blondie and Charlie. I found them both very annoying and I could not stand them. However Charlie was a bit amusing while she was high, but Blondie piss me off!

reply

Wong Chi-Ming - loved him!

To fall in love, you have to sacrifice everything.

I LOVED Blondie!! I'd love to have a girl like that, who got such JOY from simple things in life!! Hot body too!

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

reply

my favorite was He Zhiwu: Kaneshiro's character. He was HOTTTT!!!! yes, that he sure was, but apart from that, he was funny, a free spirit, and I totally love the icecream candle scene. I feel that in real life he'd be a horrible boyfriend but also the perfect boyfriend....if you know what that means...

Been meaning to buy the WKW boxed set and received it recently. My fave character is The Killer, Ming. Yeah killing ppl is not cool but he just oozes cool and sexy in this movie lol, The Mute was a cute and funny character also. I liked how parts of theme is dark because it tells a story of a hitman but also has unexpected funny laught out loud parts.

Saw a thread for the soundtrack too, I must have it.

The two handguns that Ming used are not Magnums.

They were 9mm Beretta/Taurus M975 and it is based on the Beretta 92 series, each standard magazine holds a capacity of 10-15-17-18-20 rounds. It would be common if he fired 20 rounds or even more considering he was equipped with two handguns. However most pistol magazine's capacity are purposely reduced.

By the way, you should stay away from Wong Kar Wai films if you think he doesn't know how to direct movies. You either simply have no taste in independent films or you are still immature to understand or comprehend it, I believe you're at age 16 if you state you are 13 in the year 2004.

reply

Agreed. Putino 13 doesn't get it. What he wants is a John Woo style actioner I think with slow mo gunfire and all that hideous visual excess.

FA has so much emotion, the film is practically a mood.

reply

jeez you guys, let the kid enjoy the movie regardless of what style he wants. I hate how people get chastised by viewers that think they're superior in watching movies.

Don't be grateful, be great.

reply

looking forward to seeing this for the first time

MEANWHILE...

Same.

I didn't know that Takeshi Kaneshiro was even in this when I went to watch it, so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Some velvet morning when I'm straight...

I like the guy who keeps running into that mute guy. And then he has to eat all that ice cream. That was funny

I just loved the killer's agent, Michelle Reis. I'm a little surprised nobody else thinks so.
