This movie is worth WAY more than a 4.7 star rating!
I just can't believe that this film could be rated this low.
This has got to be one of Mel Brook's and Leslie Neilsen's BEST WORK!
This is a comedic MASTERPIECE!!
Be more reasonable you guys!!
I found this to be much more funnier than "History of the World: Part 1"
at least.

I know! Even by imdb standards this movie has a bad rating. If it had about a 6.7, that would be more realistic. This film had me in absolute stitches when I was 12... It still makes me laugh now. It's such a shame so many people have to claw their way at films that aren't spectacular.

Anyone who doesn't agree with the 4.7 star rating of this movie needs to sit and watch "Blazing Saddles", "Young Frankenstein", "History Of The World Part I" and even "Space Balls" again. This movie was Mel's 2nd worst movie of all time. His #1 worst made movie was "Robin Hood: Men In Tights". This movie has some funny moments, but it's no classic.

shareY'know, I really hate it when people compare movies for ratings' sake. I, for one didn't even realize I was renting a Mel Brooks movie, so I enjoyed it on its own merit. I would probably rate it probably at about a 7.5- I'm not sure why other people rate it lower, unless they're IMDB trolls.

I love this movie! 4.7? That's an insult to Mel Brooks, Leslie Neilsen and Bram Stoker fans. I've seen this movie a hundred times and it's still funny.
sharei absolutely LOVED this movie. granted it wasnt his best but even mel's worst is better that most everything!
btw, IMHO history of the world pt 1 was better.

I have seen this movie many times and I still can't help but laugh even if I am just reading the quotes. I was so sad to find that other people did not appreciate this. I had this movie memorized before I even read the book . . . and even the comical masterpiece moments aside, this movie is still brilliant.
