Come on dude, they were threatening castration!

Anybody with a penis would have trouble watching "The Doom Generation." It's frequently referred to as a "nihilistic" film, and I wonder if it didn't give the Coen brothers an idea or two when they were writing "The Big Lebowski." I really thought better of Parker Posey. Why would she take such a ridiculous role, wielding a saber and threatening to cut a man's penis off? Gregg Araki was either trying to go with a Freudian theme, seemingly for no reason, or he's actually got castration anxiety.
