i was watching zee tv 2dday and this programme called bole to bollywood and they said there i going 2 be a ddlj2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shahrukh is going 2 b in it but kajol isnt:( this is genuine!!

yep - you love chutki don't you!! That is actually a sort of sick version - she was ages younger than him - so now its got shades of Lolita and is not at all the "clean family drama" that DDLJ was!! Seriously I cannot see a good story line for a "sequel" unless you kill off Simran and start all over again - but then why is it connected to DDLJ - it could be any old film...

I agree - difficult to see a sequel with the same characters!!! However, you could introduce another Raj (younger version) to return for Chutki. But I believe Amrish Puri is no longer with us.

OK Srani. Raj has been happily married to Sinram for 10 years now. Everything is copacetic. Then the dreams start. Every night there seems to be slightly more depth to it and slightly more meaning! Then one night it coalesces into something Raj remembers the next day: Raj realizes that the girl he really needs to be married to is Chutki! But she's too young for him (according to current standards). So he embarks on a mission to find the fountain of youth! Instead he find a scientist willing to try cloning him and stopping his growth rate at the age of 25 - a perfect age for Chutki. So, Raj teaches Raj2 about himself and convinces Raj2 to go after Chutki. The father of Chutki doesn't believe Raj2's story and so it goes...

there wont be a sequel to DDLJ. there cant be.

DDLJ came at the right time and everything was executed perfectly. not to mention it has the most repeat value than any other indian movie. you can watch it 10X and still not get tired. i cant imagine a sequel. and srk has said himself that noone can recreate the magic/success of the film again not even SRK-Kajol themselves. however i would like to see Srk's son as Raj and Kajol's Daughter as SImran 10-15 yrs from now in a remake.

I believe it was announced on KBC3 - SRK is set to play Vasu's Dad.

This is bad news, even if SRK is going to have a role in the film. I've noticed, especially with Hollywood movies, that sequels just add unnecessary chaos and is usually never as good as the original. Like how so many have said before, DDLJ was a masterpiece. I know I might get executed for saying this but I believe this movie was a fluke. The amount of attention and admiration that it got is not easily achieved, even with films that have just as good story-lines. I highly doubt any sequel can match it. I hope this doesn't happen either. It might take away the magic of the original.
