Why did he get so happy?

Hey guys I have a question... Right before the intermission, Raj went to Simran's house to tell her that he loves her however she had already left for India.. he saw some insturment (don't know what exactly it was)hanging on the door and after seeing it, he got so excited and was like "i'm coming Simran"... what was the meaning of that object that he became so happy? It sounds like a stupid question but please help me out :)

BTW this is the best movie ever!!

reply

It was the cow bell that Simaran bought at the store in Europe, that made them miss their train, and thats how they got to know each other more.

ICB has too many Rani fans who hate Aish and Vice versa, for the supidest reasons...

reply

And Simran wrote down her address of india in that belt for Raj. That's make Raj realise that he could make a place on her mind. That's why he was so happy.

reply

how did you determine that? It wasn't obvious in the translated sub-titles.

reply

I was wondering too.. It does not come across but that would make things so much more logical.

'A wed wose, how womantic'

reply

the only hint for an address that I saw/heard was from the lady next door. Just curious.

reply

It made him happy because he knew she had left it there from him to find, so he knew she loved him. It made him realize it wasn't too late for them.

Why do they flock to me like so many Sea-Gulls after a lone Fiddler Crab?

reply

This is a *beep* film. Really - it was crap. I've seen better than this one.

reply

If I wasn't three years too late (wow they hang on to these a long time) I'd tell you to go and watch those films and quit interrupting conversations with your nonsense.

But you could be dead by now for all I know, so it seems irrelevant.

reply

hahahah douchebag : )

An ancient race... as Charles Bronson put it.

reply

Bummer. I had my hopes riding on that last possibility.

reply

Amazing...

you still there dude??

reply

Uhh i never left 

By the way this film is still terrible for me. Apart from Amrish Puri's scenes; which are heartbreaking to watch. He was old when he died yet his presence in Indian cinema as a villain or even a good guy is unprecedented. I guess you could say, for me he's the saving grace of the entire story, and in Pardes as well (though the latter was a very good movie). Brilliant actor, a true legend, may he rest in peace.

Hate is baggage. Life is too short to be pissed off all the time

reply

It tells him that Simran was thinking of him.

'A wed wose, how womantic'

reply

He wants to get her I guess

reply

He saw “some instrument”??? Did you follow the Europe scenes?

She bought the cowbell in the store, which led to her missing her train. By missing the train, they had those moments together that led to their romance.

The cowbell is a memento of their romance. Only he would understand the significance of the cowbell. So her leaving the bell there means she hoped he would come looking for her and, thus, find the bell.
