Will Robert Rodriguez ever release the version he intended?

I mean some things were cut out this movie (Emphasis on the deaths, more blood) and also I would very much like to see the ending shootout between him and bucho's men (Robert said he had a very violent shootout at the end but he had to cut it all out because the studio didn't want any of it)

I would very much like an uncensored, Rodriguez cut of the movie

Some scenes did seem watered down. If there was another at the end, it would have been good, but would have had to be quick. The movie's length was at the "acceptable" level for normal human consumption. Most humans can't cope with too much at once.

I had no idea he had to cut that much Redskin123. I always wondered why the screen just fades to white during that end shootout when so many of Bucho's soldiers are still alive. I just thought it was Rodriguez's choice or something like that, but I always thought it was a mistake and wanted to see that shootout.

Has he ever said if the footage still exists somewhere or is it gone like the X rated cut of Total Recall? That would a terrible shame, I'd love to see the true version of Desperado. I remember watching it on VHS back in the day, a true 90s action classic.

I want to know who they survived it and how he got out. They should use the footage as flashback in the beginning of Once Upon A Time In Mexico. That would have been awesome. There has been countless DVDs of Desperado, and now unrated cut. I know Sony loves their Extended Cut dvds. Tears of the Sun, Con Air, Crimson Tide, Coyote Ugly and Enemy of the State all have extended cuts.

I don't know, it's already a fun flick but I too would like to see a director's cut
