No final shootout?

I just finished watching the movie.

Was anybody else disappointed by the scene at the end where he is at his brother's compound and then it fades out to him at the hospital?

Why couldn't we be treated to a 10 minute scene where we seem him kill his brother, the lady and everyone else. Instead of the scene earlier where he is joined by his two friends that killed, all three could have been at the crime boss's compound. That would have been awesome. Why couldn;t we have been treated to something similar to the final scene of Machete where its so absurdly over the top action.

And also instead of killing of Buschemii earlier have him be at the compound too!

I just think that last scene was a big letdown, anyone else agree?

The MPAA forced Robert's hand in cutting the scene, though you'd think at this point he would've cobbled together a director's cut and restored the scene.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

It would've been cool if they showed what happened, I still love the movie anyway though

Robert explains in the commentary that there was just a huge spectacular shootout not five minutes ago, it would be tedious and boring to have another big spectacle on ridiculous proportions.

Actually, there was a final shootout that was cut because of the MPAA. There's stills of it on the internet. As far As Steve Buscemi goes, they could only afford him for a few days of shooting.
