Does anyone think this is the biker version of RoboCop?

Sounds dumb but just think of it, their pretty similiar. All thats changed is it's a girl, and bikers, story is somewhat the same. Anyone agree?

I always cheer for the bad guy!

How are you ?

Yes it is pretty similar but the "Robocop" is way better in term of quality, I hope you agree. This "Demolitionist" is pretty fun even if the FX are really poor. The way the guys get shot with the red powder supposed to look like blood is ridiculous.. It has some useless women nudity and ridiculous characters as well.

I watched it last night, I was curious about this 90's B movie.

Not awful, fun but still..

BTW did you see Bruce Campbell in the backgroud playing a biker. He was the biker who won the lottery I believe, but he's in that seen.

I agree with you, I miss the 90's some of the best b-movies were made back then. I miss some of the 80's style of horror, and weird fansty movies as well. Hoping for some good 00's movies maybe disaster one's. I'm getting sick of the tv show's, re-makes of classic movies, comics, and cartoon's getting turned into movies.

Well I don't know where you live but it's damn' hot here as well. I'm in Geneva, Switzerland, you ?

Of course I recognized Bruce as "the winner" of the ugly band. I thought it was funny because he acted like a simple extra having a line, he did very good if in purpose ;-)

I also like some Charles Band's productions such as "Trancers", "Crash & Burn" and much more.

I'm really looking foward for that "District 9" produced by Peter Jackson and for the upcoming "James Cameron's Avatar" of course!

I think its just a poor ripoff of Robocop. The director and/or writer tried to copy something they didnt understand.
When Paul Verhoven was making Robocop he was really poking fun at the American obsession with violence and brutal law enforcement. It was a spoof on our society. This was just a dumb action flick with none of the heart or soul belonging to the original.
Also for those of you who didnt have Cinemax or TMC in the mid 90's, there were a ton of horrible action flicks being made and most of them were forgotten immediately unless they were so bad they became cult classics.
Demolitionist is just bad enough it couldnt get the camp factor but has no real entertainment value. I doubt Red Letter Media or Guy With The Glasses would bother reviewing it cuz it has no redeeming features.

Yeah its very similar, I have a feeling this would have originally been Robocop 3(with Anne Lewis being the female Robocop in a better version), but due to how dark the 2nd film was they scaled it back. They even recreated the scene where Robocop saves a attempted rape victim, but they kept it in the shadows
