Lol Tony Danza southern accent!

I think that's the most hilarious part of this movie! Tony Danza trying to do a Southern accent! Too funny!

It's even worse than when Cary Elwes tried it in Twister!!

I wonder why they chose him for the role??

is out of bounds!

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

Seriously, is he supposed to be mentally handicapped in this movie...his wife too?!

"...we in the killin' Nazi business. And cousin, business is a-boomin'." -Lt. Aldo Raine

The accent was a bit funny. Plus, almost without exception, actors' fake accents tend to come & go!
See Charlize Theron & Keanu Reeves in "The Devil's Advocate" for example.
Or Nick Nolte in "The Prince of Tides."

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

His Southern accent was pretty good. His acting was good. He had my attention in this movie - and he looked good, too.

I agree! I was discussing this on another message forum, and I think Tony did a good job in this movie! He was really WAY out of his comfort zone not playing his usual New Yorker, Italian! And I think he pulled it off well, esp.in such a dramatic role like this!

reply

Yeah it was funny. You can tell he's not a real southerner lol.
