Where to find this movie
Does anyone know where to find this movie? I did some research to find out it is only on VHS. I found it on Amazon for 155 dollars!! no way! I cannot find it to rent anywhere either. Any help would be appreciated.

Was the movie ever sold as a retail item, or only sent to video rental stores?
The tendency around that time was to send tapes only to rental stores if they were not in a broad release. If that was the case, most, or all, of any copies sold to retail buyers would have been priced around $100 originally.
That was the case with the Disney movie SONG OF THE SOUTH, that currently fails a 'political correctness' test, and may never be re-released anywhere, much less in the USA. I could easily be mistaken about this part, but I have read (no official support for this comment though, not by me at least) that Disney requested those tapes back from the rental outlets, but some number of them had already sold their copies at clearance prices, so they got out to the public at large. That animated feature was released in Japan on laserdisc, (think of a 12" giant two-sided CD), but not in the USA or Europe.
BTW,
Disney likes to retire their movies and animated features "to the vault" and leave them there for about a generation (20+ years), and then bring them back in a new release for the new generation to enjoy as a "new" item, instead of simply another "old and tired" item...
