I remember loving it!

I remember watching this when it first aired on TV. I actually thought it was a TV movie, but I'm not noticing the TV symbol / text that IMDB usually puts in front of movies that were strictly made and aired on TV and not theatres.

Anyway, I remember really liking it when it first aired (ha, I was only about 10), and then catching re-runs about twice. I've looked for it on DVD ever since I got my first DVD player and I've never found it. It's so darn expensive on Amazon! I wish it would air on TV again so I could record it myself.

It's been a really, really long time since I've seen it. So maybe I'm remember wrong, or maybe I've aged enough to just not like it as much as I did back then. But I definitely want to give it another shot, if I could only find it on DVD (to buy or rent) or on TV again!

I think it's really too bad how many movies are under-rated. But again, maybe it's just my strange opinion or maybe my memory has made me forget any possible 'bad parts' over the length of time that's gone by since I've seen it.

I feel exactly the same! I used to really enjoy this movie when it aired on TV (I was probably between 7 to 10 years old, ha). We used to have it on a tape taped from TV, but it's long since disappeared or has been taped over. I'd love to be able to find it and buy it on DVD, if for no other reason than nostalgia.

Lol, I love describing the movie to people, because noone our age remembers the whole prediction of the invasion. I certainly do; I remember my grandparents getting prepared for it, buying supplies and stuff.

I think it's hilarious to look at the history of news and predictions; all the "foretold" and expected events and tragedies that never occur. People are so paranoid! But I will say, these predicted crises certainly helped create some great movies.

You can rent this film through NetFlix.com. It was definitely a made for TV film with a very young Ryan Phillippe in a minor role.
