Who's Kimberly?

OK, I thought I'd asked this question before (but don't recall ever getting an answer) but I can't find a thread on it in any of the six pages here.

Anyway, when Callie and LouAnne are talking in the stairwell, and Callie says, "Man, Kimberly told me..." Who the hell is Kimberly? I looked through the credits on here, but NOTHING. And beyond that one scene, this "Kimberly" is never mentioned again.

Also, according to the wording in that scene, Kimberly is a guy.

I kept thinking that maybe it was an uncorrected error, and Callie was talking about Grandy/Grady (whoever the hell the principal is) because he really seemed to not like her, and also seemed to be of the attitude that he thought she's (LouAnne) a feminist, which in his mind, is likely a HORRID thing to be, lol.

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows!

I think Kimberly was her boyfriend. She mentions in the scene before that that Kimberly wanted her to learn how to "take are of us", meaning the two of them and the baby. I was always a little confused by that too. They should have given him a dude's name.

Ohhhh, OK. That makes sense. When she said, "...take care of us..." I always thought she was just referring to herself and the baby. I just assumed (perhaps wrongly) that whatever guy got her pregnant had bailed on her, and her mom felt that it was time for her to grow up since if she is adult enough to have sex, then she's adult enough to leave school and put her full focus on a job and her baby. I mean, her mom looked a little put out when LouAnne says Callie doesn't have to leave school.

Thanks for the explanation!

Callie says Kimboley, not Kimberly. That's what it says on the closed caption.

I am watching the movie now and I always have the captions on because I am hard of hearing. This scene always confused me because it starts with Luanne asking Callie to stay and Callie just responds with "He told me you would say this..."

So, we know Callie IS talking about a man.

At first I thought it was the Principal, because in the captions it says "Kimboley"; which I thought maybe the Principals first name...or maybe Callie's boyfriend.

But, as others and you have stated you came here and looked at credits and there is no "Kim" or "Kimboley".

So, I am wondering IF there was a time when the script had Callies boyfriend in the movie and he was cut out due to 'whatever' reason.

It is funny how you can pick out certain things in a movie like this and there are so many other people catching it too. I wish I had a better answer for ya...I came here hoping to find one too.

Have a nice day!
