That look Joe gives in court *spoilers*

Why the heck did Joe look puzzled when Beth is talking about how Kaye suffered as she ran, and how she finally wore out?
What, did he think she ENJOYED running from him and living in fear??!!

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

People like that don't think they are doing anything wrong. So to him, why would she be suffering?

My, people's senses of wrong & right are very strange aren't they?

In the minds of men like that, they are the "victims". "The woman didn't have his dinner ready, she knows that upsets him, she did it on purpose." Or he thinks that he can convince her to go back to him. He "promises" to be better. That is just an example of how they think.

Catnip is exactly right. My aunt married a man like this and the man sees himself as the victim. I was shocked to see my "uncle" pout like a toddler because my aunt was worn out from taking care of their new baby and didn't jump at his every demand. He was jealous of the baby. I didn't get that as a kid but as an adult I see it clear as day. Men like this use to getting their way. I mean their way in every way you can imagine. My aunts husband demanded the carpet look a certain way when vacuumed. The lines had to go in a certain direction. It's crazy. My aunt was able to escape her abusive marriage and is happy. I have Googled the man she married a few times and he's been arrested multiple times and according to his Facebook page his current home is a friends sofa. He seems almost proud of it. I don't know who someone like that can look themselves in the mirror. I guess it's a mental disorder. I don't know but something isn't right.
