I mean it is a good enough movie to have topics... and I thought there were topics? DID THE IMDB BOARDS BREAK?
shareI wonder how widely it has been distributed outside Asia. None of my movie buff friends haven't even heard of it, let alone seen it.
Maybe The Scent of Green Papaya didn't do enough business to guarantee a wider release for Cyclo.
It's not the simplest movie to stay abreast of. I'm going to watch the dvd again in a couple of days when I will have fewer distractions.
I had to rewind a couple of times to get a grasp of the way events were unfolding, particularly as regards events before and after the deflowered virgin episode.
It's a beautiful and very brutal movie, but the sudden narrative leaps can be a bit confusing.
Watch this space.
People are always watching mainstream movies they knida avoid this type of films
