What plot would You use given a chance to make a sequel?

Or IF Cutthroat Island was a succesful movie, what do You guys think would happen in the next part?

Sequels were not very common in the 90s, though we often hear about a lot of dropped ones, plus, it could span into a whole bunch of titles if it was a hit.

So what do You think would be the possible plot, area of action and factions involved?

The bad guys would have to come outside of the family obviously, as she've managed to kill most of her relatives already ;)
Plus, I guess that they would focus on a different colonial nation.

The question is HOW would Modine fit withing the new script and within the crew, as he was somewhat un-important in this one and it's hard to believe to he would turn into a ferocious hero in the next one.

Trotter being another addition to the pirate crew, though I think it was more like a humorous thing, can't really envision him as a real pirate ;)
So there's a question whether they would really cast him again.

And of course, they mention Madagascar at the very end of the movie, which gives the idea it would have something to do with the Indian Ocean, perhaps the powerful Mughals would take part, and Dutch and Portugese who used to control the area.

I haven't seen this film in a while. Here goes... 25 years later, Morgan and Shaw are living quietly off the coast of Madagascar on Isle St. Marie under assumed identities, having retired from piracy just a few years earlier. They're wanted from the law for the killing of Governor Ainslee and acts of piracy. Word spreads that the British Royal Navy is coming to capture Morgan, dead or alive, and eradicate piracy from the island. It's not long before local pirates identify the pair, and tales of Morgan's gold attract the attention of Billy One-Hand, a fearsome pirate known for cutting off ears and noses of prisoners.

No more Missing Brothers. That's the only requirement I would have.

They journey to Madagascar and get wrapped up in the political intrigue of the fabled pirate utopia Libertatia (like in Uncharted 4). Maybe they could do a fictitious recreation of Henry Every's famed pirate raid (even if this movie takes place before that).
