shareThat's depressing. I wish they were friends in real life, but I guess things don't always work out that way. Still, I agree with Starduster that their lack of friendship off-camera is a real testament to the power of their friendship on-camera. They gave amazing performances.

Several years back, Joe Mazzello had a internet fan club. The webmaster stated that Joe and Brad had nothing in common and there was no friendship between them whatsoever.
To me, this is a tribute to BOTH of them. When they were on screen, they created one of the BEST film tributes to friendship.
I feel very sad that Brad, made so many bad choices in his life and now he is dead because of it.
This film is a legacy for Brad and one of Joe Mazzellos best performances as well.

I'm not surprised that these two weren't close in real life at some point. On-screen chemistry is either really great because the people in real life get along greatly or they actually sort of dislike each other; in this movie's case, the two actors didn't get along all that well so it made the on-screen chemistry nice. Brad played the guitar greatly if anyone has seen that video of him playing it on the set of The Cure.

They were not friends but they were not enemies either. They just tolerated each other, got along sometimes and fought with each other other times. THat's what I think.
