Jaws 3 and 4 were jokes too...
but they still are official sequals. Is this one, or is it seriously a knockoff?

It's not an official sequel, but some people say that the official "Jaws 5" trully exists. I saw in a site some photos on the official "Jaws 5" and it seems that is about Quint's tale of the U.S.S. Indinapolis or maybe they taken that photos from the film "Mission of the Shark - The Saga of the U.S.S. Indinapolis".
sharePeter Benchley wrote Cruel Jaws. It was entitled Jaws 5 Cruel Jaws. But, in the 90's a lot of franchise films became TV Movie Spin-offs.

JAWS 3 and 4 are better, and more original than this film. This film is nothing more than a ripoff, and bootleg titles have promoted it as a sequel, that's why it's so notorious. The same director also made a "Terminator 2" which is actually more of an ALIENS ripoff.
Foreign countries use the probably non trademarked title to sell it and make money. THE LAST SHARK (1981) in some European countries was promoted as "The Last Jaws".
