Will this film ever be released on DVD? How can one find out?

I finally got my hands on the DVD. To be honest, I thought the transfer was fine. Would have loved some features, though: particularly commentary from Le Page!

I found the Video CD of the film in a bargain bin in Hong Kong. The picture is not 100% (about the same as VHS) but I don't think the film's been released on DVD in Region 1, and it only cost $3 for this (LEGAL) version.

Is the DVD supposed to be 4:3? On the page here it claims 1.85:1. If the film was made for 1.85, I'm going to be pissed for watching a shoddy pan & scan!
