that the prosecutor Gorbunov sent from Moscow to get the investigation on track is the same actor who played Dr. Stephen Falken in Wargames ? I knew I'd seen him somewhere :-)

John Wood, very fine actor. He's been in lots of different roles over the years, mostly in the background. He was also in Jumpin' Jack Flash playing the bad guy trying to do away with Whoopie Goldberg. That was the one where we only hear Jack's voice through the film and at the end he turns out to be Jonathan Pryce.
