I noticed in the movie they used the term "article" alot like when Nan calls Simon a "sh***y article". Can someone tell me what exacly that means in Ireland?

I think it is a term for your boyfriend.. like we are an "item" but instead "article"

Just work it out based on context... It isn't that hard to extrapolate from phrases like "genuine article" etc.
